The Scientists of Kenya Association (SCOKA), represented by its National Chairperson Everlyn Kimanthi, participated in the 12th Annual Biosafety Conference 2024 in Naivasha. Kimanthi delivered a keynote presentation titled "Enhancing Biosafety, Biosecurity, and Occupational Health in Biotechnology: The Imperative for Capacity Building through Outreach Programs."

Her presentation underscored the importance of robust biosafety and biosecurity measures, addressing occupational health risks, and the necessity of capacity building via outreach and training programs.
