Meeting with the Public Service Commission
Meeting with the Public Service Commission
August 3, 2025, 6:58 pm | SCOKA Meets Public Service Commission
The Scientists of Kenya Association (SCOKA), led by Everlyn Kimanthi, and the Public Service Commission (PSC), led by Dr. Mary, recently met to address the critical issue of limited internship and employment opportunities for young science graduates in Kenya. The meeting focused on leveraging the PSIP Program to increase internship placements and creating more jobs within the science sector.

Key discussions highlighted the need for greater collaboration and networking among stakeholders, as well as the development of policy recommendations to support science graduates. Both parties agreed that government support for science projects and research is vital for stimulating job growth. The meeting concluded with a commitment to form a working group to create a detailed action plan, schedule follow-up meetings, and engage additional stakeholders. This collaboration aims to build a vibrant scientific community that contributes significantly to Kenya's national development.
