About this initiative
Sayansi kwa Watoto na Vijana is one of SCOKA’s leading STEM outreach initiatives focused on inspiring and nurturing the next generation of scientists in Kenya. Through this initiative, SCOKA visits primary schools, secondary schools, and community spaces to expose children and young people to the world of science, technology, research, and innovation.
The initiative was established to address the growing need for STEM awareness, mentorship, and practical scientific exposure among young learners. Through mentorship sessions, career talks, hands-on demonstrations, laboratory exposure, and scientific engagements, the program helps learners understand scientific concepts in a practical and exciting way.
SCOKA believes that early exposure to STEM education is critical in shaping future innovators, researchers, problem-solvers, and leaders. By empowering young people with scientific knowledge and inspiration, the initiative contributes to strengthening Kenya’s future scientific workforce and fostering a culture of curiosity, creativity, innovation, and research among young learners.
