SCOKA & Africa Bioethics Community

On July 19th, 2024, scientists from Kenya were invited to participate in the official launch of the ORCID Bioethics Community of Practice in Sub-Saharan Africa. This significant event aimed to foster collaboration and enhance bioethical practices across the region, bringing together experts and stakeholders in the field of bioethics.

The primary objective of the launch was to establish a platform for sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices related to bioethics. The ORCID Bioethics Community of Practice seeks to address the unique ethical challenges faced in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in research and healthcare. By creating a network of professionals, the initiative aims to promote ethical standards and improve the quality of research and healthcare delivery in the region.
