International Pi (π) Day, celebrated globally, is more than just a quirky mathematical observance—it’s a powerful reminder of the profound impact mathematics has on our daily lives and the world around us.
On March 15, 2025, for the first time, Daystar University, a pioneer in innovation within the School of Science, Engineering and Health, will partner with SCOKA, a prominent science sector association championing the advancement of Kenyan scientists to host an inspiring competition for over 100 high schools entitled “Numbers and Beyond: A STEM Challenge for Future Innovators at the Athi River Campus.
The primary objective of the event is to:
- Inspire and Motivate: Engage high school students in STEM and ignite their passion for science and technology.
- Skill Development: Offer students an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation.
- Showcase Talent: Provide a platform for students to display their knowledge and potential in real-world scientific applications.
